Enough daylight in the children's rooms?

Hello,

There are also windows that can be opened without a mullion. In this case, the mullion is built into one wing ;) On the other hand, I have already written that the planned lighting for the rooms is completely sufficient.

well, light is supposed to come in even when closed - otherwise sometimes cleaning the windows helps ;p (sorry, had to say, little insider ;)).

I quite like double casement windows, they bring a better flair to the rooms - also in the office, especially if it's in the attic, I'm all for it (had it once in a rental apartment, was great!) - and when the rain patters on them.......

The problem with floor-to-ceiling windows is that in practice the lower part is often covered sooner or later.

I just measured. Our windows in the children's room are similarly wide, not floor-to-ceiling, and the lighting is more than sufficient. I advise you to critically look at floor-to-ceiling windows on the upper floor in the neighborhood. The view from outside would be too intrusive for me for a children's room.

But this only represents my personal taste.

I think so too, but even then the windows, e.g. covered with a pleated blind, still bring light into the room.

Do you also have a double casement window? We don't want to do without "floor-to-ceiling." We like it and in my opinion it has flair. But tastes are rightly different.
