Hi there!
I looked at a house, built in 1956, solid construction, windows from around 1980. The house has a dormer on the front with "strangely" placed windows. They are quite wide but sit too high and are overall too low. As a person who is 1.65m tall, I can hardly look out of the window on the upper floor. Would it basically be possible to enlarge the windows in this dormer downwards, or is there anything about the dormer that would argue against this?
I have no idea what type of dormer this is; I hope the pros can make something out of my attached pictures. The ceiling height should be about 2.20-2.30m, which shows that the windows sit quite high.
If it is not possible to "lower" the windows, that would be a very negative point for me, which might negatively influence my buying decision.
EDIT: the "normal" window height would probably be exactly at the small ledge you can (hopefully) see between the radiator and the window.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and help :)
Best regards, Nicole
