If you don't have any special requirements for the network and don't do time-critical tasks, Wi-Fi will be enough. It wouldn't be for me. Everything I have standing around is connected via LAN and thus relieves my Wi-Fi. The performance of fast internet connections usually cannot be fully utilized over Wi-Fi either. Often, a single wall is already a death sentence for fast data transmission.I think that one or at most two LAN sockets per floor are sufficient to guarantee a stable Wi-Fi.
