Hello everyone!
How realistic are the following seasonal performance factors:
electric heat pump: seasonal performance factor > 4.5
gas-powered heat pump: seasonal performance factor > 1.5
Are there such heat pumps? How much more expensive are they than the standard models?
What kind of seasonal performance factor does, for example, a Viessmann Vitosorp 200-F achieve?
From 01.04.2015, there are also opportunities for new buildings to receive funding amounts for heat pumps through BAFA (Google search for: BAFA Förderübersicht pdf 2015), with a minimum funding amount of €4000-4500. However, only particularly innovative heat pumps are funded, requiring a certain seasonal performance factor (see above).
Best regards

I haven't been able to fully comprehend this yet either, as the annual performance factor is not a static value but something very individual.

However, a heat pump with good settings should achieve over 4.5 – I am currently finally waiting for the data of the new Vaillant Flextherm heat pumps, which I would like to purchase.

I simply assume that they will be eligible for funding, but I hope that by then they will have been certified by the BAFA. Since you don't have to provide the most precise details in the application yet, I see good chances...

There is an annual performance factor calculator on the WWW (Bundesverband Wärmepumpe), where you can select the exact heat pump model you have. The COP value is then read from a table and, using some other information, the annual performance factor can be calculated. In some example calculations with common ground source heat pumps, I always came to an annual performance factor of over 4.5.

There is no calculator yet for gas heat pumps (e.g. Vitosorp) there. Therefore, I cannot assess whether the Vitosorp achieves 1.5.

It's an old topic, but I have a quick question about it. If I have already signed the contract with a provider from whom I get a suitable pump, without applying for the funding, then I can no longer apply for the funding?! Do I understand that correctly?

That's how it was told to us - yes. Otherwise, call Bafa directly - maybe something has changed, or it is still somehow accepted if you submit everything.

Is it worth it or are the particularly innovative heat pumps also particularly innovatively expensive?

Then it might possibly maybe be worth it for me after all to install a EP.
