I'm really proud of our new bathroom cabinet.
In its layout, it is basically like the white-coated particleboard one that was there before.
But this one is muuch nicer (to my taste).
For example, the walls are only about 10 mm thick.
It's stained multiplex plywood, painted with Tokinoise lacquer. (so it looks and is much lighter than the old one)
The drawers have full extensions.
The fittings are made of stainless steel ... the eyelets are actually made for hanging the heaviest loads ... the bottom one has a fastening screw with a diameter of 20 millimeters
Apparently, the French navy uses this lacquer to paint its wood for seafaring ... that should be enough for our bathroom ;)
Since I don't have a professional painting room, it's admittedly not as smooth as "normal" painted surfaces, but it has a very special charm that I really like.
On top, in front of the 3 LEDs, there will be a cover through which the light will shine.
So far, I haven't decided exactly what it will look like. My current plan was to punch a steel sheet with a pretty pattern, but I think that will be too much metal ... we'll see ... maybe it'll be frosted glass, like we have in other parts of the bathroom.
