The eye nuts as handles do not do justice to the project; you should replace them with proper handles/knobs. These "standard parts" often make the difference between a great piece of work and a makeshift job...

Yes, there are so many great handles/knobs that fit better. I think if you still use nautical equipment, that can still look good, but ordinary ring nuts tend to downgrade the cabinet rather than enhance it. Please note, this is just my opinion, everyone is entitled to see it differently :)

What I was looking for was an increasing size of stainless steel handles in 6 stages. I did not find that anywhere else. Calculating the consistent increase in sizes was not easy! Three different mathematically gifted friends tried it. Two failed (like myself) and the last one gave me a table where I could calculate and adjust the sizes to the millimeter.

I was initially unsure about the handles, my wife liked them and now I also think they are great ...
