Dear community,

I am new to this forum. Please forgive me if this question has already come up and been answered somewhere. So far, I have not been able to find a clear solution to my problem.

I have decided to buy an Ikea kitchen without fronts. Instead, I want to install fronts made of MDF myself. The dimensions for this are not difficult to find. What is causing me difficulty, however, are the numerous drill holes for hinges and drawers. The base cabinets consist of the following configuration: 1x base cabinet measuring 20x60x80cm with Maximera pull-out unit, 1x corner base cabinet measuring 128x68x80cm with door, 1x base cabinet measuring 60x60x80cm. In the latter base cabinet, there are Maximera drawers in low, medium, and high versions.

Now I need the exact drilling measurements for all these cabinets for mounting hinges or drawers. I have also already found the Utrusta template for this. However, I fear that this may only be applicable for the high drawer.

Is there anyone who has already dealt with this issue? It would help me a lot to know the exact measurements for the respective components. A template would of course be the perfect solution. I also do not know what diameter the drill hole for the hinges needs to have.

Thanks in advance for any answers and assistance!

Hello

So for the 20 drawer, there is a template included. The one with the dimensions of the pot holes for the door, I believe an IKEA expert posted it somewhere here before.

For the drawers, just buy a tall HÄGGEBY front (€5) as a template and drill through it, it’s faster and easier than measuring all the holes.
You could also do that for the door, it only costs about €5 or so,

The thing with the 20-step extension is great! I hadn’t come across it before. After the pot drillings, I’ll look in the forum... Thanks!

I would consider buying Veddinge fronts. These are made of MDF and have the necessary pre-drilled holes and are not foil-covered but painted, with already sanded edges. You can also paint them again in your desired color if needed.
