Hello forum members,

I have a problem with a Pax wardrobe. It consists of two parts (50cm and 100cm). In the 50cm wide wardrobe, there are 4 drawers in the lower part, with the fronts each being 17cm high. The problem is that there are no hole patterns on the side panels to properly screw in the rails for the drawers. The top and bottom ones fit. For the two in between, you cannot screw the rails in so that the drawers can be smoothly slid in. Could it be that you have to drill the holes in the side panels yourself? There would be 6 holes. Does anyone know the measurement between the holes for these two drawers?

Best regards

Hello, I don't know if I understood the problem correctly. You don't have to drill any holes. You start with the bottom drawer, make sure it sits correctly on the rail, and then screw the rails for the next drawer above it and insert the drawer. If the drawer doesn't run smoothly, the rail is mounted one hole too low. You work your way upwards like this. Your description reads as if you have fixed where the top and bottom drawer should be and then the ones in between have to fit, regardless of whether there is enough space in between or not.

Hello,

I also thought that no holes would have to be drilled, but I will have no other choice, otherwise it won’t work. Each drawer has a height of 17.3 cm. All 4 fit dimension-wise into the opening intended for the drawers. Above the drawers is a door. If you install the first one from the top (of course also the rails in the correct holes) and then want to install the next one (downwards), you only have pre-drilled holes available that either make the drawer too high, or if you take a pre-drilled row lower, the drawer then has too big a gap to the one above. The same problem occurs with the third drawer (downwards). Only with the bottommost one do the holes offered in the sidewall allow the rail to be screwed on correctly.

Kind regards

I assumed it was an inner drawer. You probably have the Birkeland with 4 drawers? The assembly instructions say to attach the rails to holes 1, 6, 12, 17. If it still doesn't work, you might not have followed the A-B-A-B sequence.

Hello,

thank you very much for the reply. It is actually the case that with two drawers the symmetry to the rest of the drawer is different (ABAB). I had been pondering this all day and after work took a closer look at the drawers again and then noticed this difference. On Saturday evening I somehow didn’t have an eye for it. Everything fits now.

Kind regards
