That such stories are always taken too literally. Visually speaking, at least for me, that is the case. Therefore, I am also asking for reasons why the heights must absolutely be maintained. What can happen ... Or whether the lead time makes no difference ...

Our heights are "Pi mal Daumen". But since all doors are always open during the day, it doesn't matter. At night, we hardly notice any draft at the door gaps; for us, they are about 6-9mm, depending on the door.

We milled the frames before assembly in the non-visible area - that is, at the top - about 10mm wide on both sides so that air can flow there in addition to the few millimeters under the door. None of this is visible, the overflow is ensured, and the sound is not made quite so easy because it has to pass through the "labyrinth" of the frame and door lintel.

We didn't just shoot in and completely foam the doors either. So air can also flow here.

I'll see how I do it.

: How wide is approximately your gap under the doors?

Our gap under the doors is quite large, I estimate 7-8mm. I would have preferred less, but the doors and frames fit just barely into the openings without being cut, so they were almost too short.
