Division of a semi-detached house along the roof ridge

I have already seen semi-detached houses with parallel ridge lines, like two separate single-family homes cuddling ;) You can also find them on the web with the large image search. Unusual, but somehow cool and with the correct ridge direction.

Around the corner from us, there are also such cozy terraced houses.

I am considering building a semi-detached house and already have a plot of land for it. Due to the location of the plot and the development plan, only a semi-detached house is possible, where the division is along the roof ridge.

I once had a gable-end semi-detached house where the entrances were on the right and left of the ridge on the eaves sides – however, offset from each other so that the party wall still ran perpendicular to the ridge. The plot was not actually divided, and the use of the two parts was then front/back (viewed from the street), not right/left.

What do you think how unattractive your semi-detached house will become? It’s not without reason that you don’t find such semi-detached houses.

What do you think, how pretty they are and not as bulky as conventional semi-detached houses?!
The roof is not the massive roof, but each half visually stands on its own, usually with a gable view.
In our case, they were terraced houses, but the most beautiful and special ones in the whole community.
