Distributing excess topsoil - What is the best approach?

we still have a lot of topsoil left over from the construction, and unfortunately I don't know what to do with it. Since we have a large property, the easiest thing would probably be to get an excavator and spread it out in the back.

I already did some research online and came across the following procedure:

1. Spread with excavator
2. Remove large stones / roots / branches
3. Loosen with garden tiller
4. Remove large stones / roots / branches again
5. Wait
6. Sow grass
7. Lightly compact with roller

Am I on the right track or is this nonsense?

that is already the right way.
In the background there is topsoil. But not in the front.

Clay and silt must also be well mixed with lower yellow sand to ensure good drainage. Otherwise, a sealing layer with waterlogging/puddles quickly forms on top due to compaction.
