Yes, that is clear, but as long as the price is right in the end, I don't really care how it comes about. We don't look at percentage values but at the amount that results.

You have to discuss something like that with your bank, each one is different in this regard. We could simply say how much they should credit to our account and that’s what happened. With a discount agreement, I would have just requested the money shortly before invoicing (you can roughly anticipate when they will come) and paid quickly.

That completely depends on your bank. We fill out and sign our payment slip. Scan the invoice(s). Send everything by email to our personal contact person. No more than 3 hours later, an email comes back with the transfer receipts.

At the latest after one business day, the money is with the supplier.

But as I said; it all depends on your bank. I wouldn’t even take the detour via the "own" checking account / sometimes not feasible from the bank’s side.

We can get money in blocks of 10-20K on the account to pay small items. Invoices then go to the bank afterwards before the next block.

So, talk to *your* bank

I copy the invoice, submit it at the bank with an order instructed for payment, factually and arithmetically correct. They pay promptly. The discount works. Karsten

With us, this is quite straightforward. We apply for the desired amount by email to our bank. As a rule, the amount is in our account on the same day and we can transfer. The bank only wanted the construction invoices from us after the 5th installment payment.

Why not let the bank transfer the money to the craftsman? I much prefer to do that, then the risk of making a typo lies with the bank.

With us, it works pretty straightforward as well, our bank actually doesn’t even want an invoice, I can also request money by email and they usually transfer it to my construction account on the same day.
However, I usually send them an invoice with the amount they should request and transfer immediately.
