What? Trust? That it goes well 149 times and on the 150th time a half-finished house represents security because the builder is messing around??

Maybe that's how it works for you, but you shouldn't have clarified that yet, otherwise you wouldn't have started this thread here. Accordingly, I would clarify that with the bank and not with people whose planned approach is not considered because their financing bank does not do it that way and, above all, most do not want it that way anyway.

Even if it's the Volksbank, I hardly believe they will transfer 50,000 euros to your private account, why should they, for various reasons that makes no sense.

Our financing bank also transfers the money for invoices to be paid to our checking account. With the exception of the property, which was paid directly by the bank. Here sums of 30,000 to 50,000€ can accumulate. But the money is only given after we have submitted the appropriate invoice. Amounts up to 5000,-€ are given without receipts.

People. If you have been with your bank for, say, 25 years, have done all sorts of things with them already, if you perhaps even have a personal relationship with the branch manager, if it is a Sparkasse or cooperative bank, it is not inconceivable to sometimes get 50,000,- directly into your checking account. We are also with Volksbank and since they don't feel like transferring every small invoice for us, I only have to submit invoices larger than 25K€ via payment order. Otherwise, we receive a tranche of 15K€ each time transferred to the checking account. If we want a new one, we have to submit the invoices for the used tranche. Until then, they don't want anything and for the last installment we don't have to provide any proof anymore.

Seems to vary a lot. We financed through an insurance and received nearly 90k euros in the account at the start of earthworks and shell construction (I still have the screenshot of the account balance. An unusual sight for us [emoji16]) We provided proof of use afterwards through copies of invoices and photos of the construction. Later, always large sums depending on the progress of the construction. So we had control over taking discounts ourselves. So it definitely exists.

With us, it was always the case that the bank transferred 50k to the checking account upon call. 50k were our payment steps. I then simply made the transfer of 48.5k the next day due to the discount and that was it. The last 150k the bank just transferred to our checking account for the final invoice and outdoor facilities. We have always been with [Volksbank].
