Hello everyone,

I am still having some difficulty regarding the dimensioning (estimation) of sub-distribution boards in a 3-family house.

How would you estimate the required DIN rails in an apartment if the first DIN rail is reserved for terminal blocks (Wago).
Additionally, there are:

    [*
      2-4 KNX rings
      [*]8 LAN sockets
      [*]9 electric roller shutters
      [*]9 switchable ceiling lights
[*]7 rooms. Per room 2 switchable power outlets, the rest permanent power
[*]Each room should receive a presence detector
[*]I want to avoid individual room control for underfloor heating, but each room should at least be prepared for it (meaning probably via an MDT pushbutton)
[*]The kitchen might already have about 5 fuses plus lighting
      [LIST]
      [*]Power outlets
      [*]Refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher
      [*]Oven
      [*]Cooktop
      [*]Boiler/Quooker reserve/preparation

[*]Some small visualization in the hallway

[*]Switch everything off except for the refrigerator
[*]All roller shutters up or down
      [*]...

[*]Each apartment will also get a central controlled residential ventilation system ([Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung]) (I do not know how and if this can be usefully integrated / controlled in a smart home)
[*]A preparation for a split air conditioning unit is also planned. (I do not know how and if this can be usefully integrated / controlled in a smart home)
[*]Each window has a REED contact in our case
[*]On the roof maybe a wind sensor to react to strong gusts/storms
[*]I have not thought about the front door yet. (Doorbell, video, etc.). A fingerprint scanner is integrated though
[*]Digital locking cylinders would be interesting (e.g. SimonsVoss)

I now have the option to:

[*]Use a small distribution board with 3-4-5 rows and a separate multimedia distributor, which is either placed in separate rooms (sub-panel next to the apartment entrance) and MM in the technical room
[*]Field distributor with 2 fields. DIN rails on the left and multimedia area on the right. Due to the width, this field distributor can only be housed in the apartment’s technical room. However, the connection or feed line for the field distributor would be about 4m longer.
[*]A single-row field distributor. 6-7 or more rows and you buy the internal components separately. For example, 4 rows of DIN rails, the rest multimedia (MM). This single-row field distributor fits again next to the apartment door.

Sorry, I just realize that I unnecessarily started a new thread. I could have combined this with one of my previous posts.
