Based on the results that Google provides for it, I would describe it exactly the opposite.

White/beige - with every 20th clinker having a bit of brown...

Don't take this lightly. Our development plan states roof tiles in all shades of red or in light gray.

My neighbor ordered slate gray and it was already delivered and laid on the roof. Unfortunately, it was a light anthracite and not mouse gray.

Everything had to be taken down and reordered. It cost him a staggering €3,000 net.
A personal appointment with tile samples also did not help change the building authority's mind.

So be careful, wait for the exemption and then act.

So, what is it now? What does the development plan actually say?

From the authority's point of view, there is no reason not to agree on the permitted colors of a clinker brick.
If you don't like them or prefer another clinker brick, that is your personal problem. Why should others adhere to the development plan, but you not?
You won't suffer any disadvantage or harm if you comply.

Besides, you are not doing yourselves any favors by wanting to build a special case. That immediately spreads a negative impression in the neighborhood—whether you understand it or not.

A clinker looks almost exactly the same in August as any other one on Thursdays. In other words: another one is sometimes more similar than the same one under different lighting conditions, etc., so I find the opinion often read here—that only this one is the optimum and all the others are no good at all—slightly exaggerated. I wouldn't organize a torchlight procession for a very specific color tone, and I certainly wouldn't throw a freestanding cutout over it for that reason.

From afar, this is easier than when you yourself have to make the decision (for all eternity). Whether similar or not, I can understand the OP a little. We ourselves are facing a similar problem. After intensive selection with samples, model houses, and long journeys, we found "our" stone. Of course, the general contractor does not have it in the program but would agree to an exceptional processing – for an additional charge of 25-30K €. Well, that makes the heart or the wallet bleed

And yet I stand by the position that a development plan only makes sense if everyone more or less adheres to it. You know beforehand what is allowed.

For such a huge amount of money, you can take many vacations exactly to the place where you discovered the stone you fell in love with. Mind you: we are talking here about the extra effort to make 100% out of 98% optimal achievement - not about the price difference between the optimum and the alternative Ohgottigitt!
