When the plots of our development area (approx. 50 parcels) were sold after being developed, the price for all of them was initially €110/sqm. This increased with each sold parcel. We bought at €144/sqm and the last one went through the notary for €180/sqm. So within half a year from €110/sqm to €180/sqm. I was not annoyed (which surprises me in retrospect) because there were hardly any alternatives.

Was that a municipal development area? I would find that really bad. Especially if it’s the same development phase.

No, besides the municipality (which guaranteed the development), there was also a private investor involved. A real vulture. The investor could probably retire by now. And yes, that was a construction phase.

Private investor explains it :-( Still terrible when you are at their mercy. But at least affordable by today's standards.

We bought at the beginning of 2019. Nowadays, there is nothing here under €200/sqm anymore. Therefore, I am not upset.
