Determining flooring for roof terrace: landscape gardener or roofer?

Hi!

For our roof terrace, we still need a floor covering. According to the technical drawing, it may be 2cm thick.

Our roof terrace is not used often, more for hanging out laundry but less for staying there. Therefore, the design is not so important to us, rather the durability and especially the ease of maintenance of the whole thing. If we can have peace of mind with it, it doesn't have to be the cheapest material, despite the secondary use. We don't really like concrete slabs with joints - that's what we currently have and weeds are growing everywhere through the joints. Maybe there are other solutions that limit this problem?

As can be seen from the diagram, a drainage mat and a gravel filling are also part of the client's scope besides the covering. This excludes many companies and can only be done by a landscape gardener or roofer? Who would you recommend contacting to prepare an offer?

My parents have Bangkirai wood but say that despite constant scrubbing, the color has faded. They would not recommend it to us.

This happens with any wood that is not oiled. Bangkirai is not to blame. However, the construction would also become far too high. If you stick to your diagram, probably only panels remain, but those on a gravel bed? Sounds "odd".

Small gravel. Tiles laid loose. Why not? It’s often done; because it is more frost-resistant than, for example, fixed tiles.

Try googling Schlüter-troba.

Anyone can do it, anyone who knows balconies. Roofers, for example.

Roofer would be good. That is the one who does the preparation not on the builder's side. Then I'll ask him tomorrow if he can prepare it so that WPC panels can be laid.

For 2cm slabs in gravel, be sure to use joint crosses with a disc, or if the structure allows, a mortar bed at the transitions.

I contacted several companies today, garden landscapers, roofers..... but all apparently so busy that I did not receive a callback today.
