That is all nicely calculated. You now have 90 euros for electricity and gas. That will then be 300 euros and more in the house. Otherwise, the current expenses are calculated very, very naively. But if you save hard now, it will work out. Fortunately, you have not planned to have children, so nothing should stand in the way of a quiet and nice life in the house. It's also practical, children just break and dirty everything anyway.

There may be many reasons why someone doesn’t plan to have children. But with a smiley face after it? I’ve been seeing this attitude more often lately, don’t know the reasons either, but it’s really a sad development. For me, children are a blessing ❤️.

Everyone should live however they want, but then I would reconsider building a house, probably 99% of the future neighbors will have children. That’s going to be fun.

And in my opinion, your calculation is simply unrealistic. If at that age you haven’t built up any significant savings or have normal insurances like disability insurance, company pension, private retirement provision, etc., it simply can’t work. Not even if you started later because of studying.

We also come from simple backgrounds without support, are extremely frugal, and have much higher expenses than you. I almost only buy jackets second-hand or clothes at Aldi and Kik, new shoes, just that alone is many times more than 5 euros per month.

Groceries only on sale and then in stock. Just vacuum cleaner bags alone cost a lot, and you need twice as many in a house. Many living costs multiply because of a house. Just gardening supplies, fertilizer. Lots of stuff that really hits hard.
Vet bills last year over 4000 euros. Can happen. And no insurance covers that.

I just hope you don’t get burned by this.

I find the construction costs very low.

Sorry for off-topic, but when I read something like this... have you ever thought that there are also people who cannot have children? I find it incredibly presumptuous to write something like that and thereby even question whether one should build at all. Without children! How can one! This is one of the most private decisions of all (those who can even make this decision should count themselves lucky) and no one, not the aunt at the family gathering and certainly not some anonymous person on the internet, has the right to have an opinion about it.

Exactly for that reason, since there are couples in my circle of acquaintances for whom it unfortunately doesn’t or hasn’t worked out. If there had been no smiley there, I wouldn’t have written anything about it.

Sorry, but I think in almost 7 years of forum, I have never read such a stupid answer...

Honestly, just leave people alone with this damn child topic...

Oh God, how dare they - happy without children! And smiley! They probably just move into a house to really spoil the cozy family life for their neighbors :) I imagine it like the Grinch at Christmas :D
