Hello everyone,

the plasterer will start with us soon and therefore we have to decide what we want.

Ceilings:
What would you recommend? Putty or painter's fleece? Costs are identical.

Plaster:
For the "public rooms" we were recommended Dekoquarz. Sounds good to us.
Less important rooms like dressing room, pantry, etc. I would do as Q3 plaster painted. Now the architect raised the objection that this does not work because cracks occur.

Does anyone of you perhaps have this constellation for several years and can report?

Best regards and thanks for the feedback

Ceiling fleece is better. Cracks always occur where rigid meets elastic, so stone wall meets drywall ceiling with wooden frame. You never avoid them, you can disguise them with a stucco molding, which we did. On our bedroom wall a crack appeared, it goes from the light switch up to the ceiling, it is a filled cable groove where water evaporated from the filler and then it shrinks a bit. I sealed it with acrylic and dabbed over it. It is okay now. Otherwise, we have no cracks in wall surfaces. Karsten

We have developed many cracks after 4 years. Plaster cracks, settlement cracks. Above the windows, just above the baseboard.... :( We had it repaired/filled, now it needs to be painted everywhere.

Unimportant rooms like storage or pantry in Q3 is a bit decadent, isn't it?
