Well, if the problem only occurs with hot water (according to your "bucket test"), the problem can only be in the hot water area - so that leaves only the boiler or the water heater, unless you have different pipes for the hot water than for the cold water.

Another possibility would be that there are some suspended particles in the water that "flocculate" when heated - but you could clarify this easily by simply asking the neighbors.
Personally, I consider this possibility more than unlikely.

Dirk

Yes, okay, we had already thought about that before the call with Junkers. Maybe they just didn’t want to admit that it could have something to do with their boiler... By the way, the stuff is not magnetic.

Is there actually any way to clean these Raindance showers or is there a possibility to put a sieve in front of a handheld shower? Otherwise, after the bathroom renovation, we’ll have to replace the expensive showerhead every few months... The big question is whether it’s worth renewing the boiler, even though it actually still works?!

Huh? You have to tackle the problem - it reads as if you want to keep accepting it like that???

First, have the [Speicher] checked, then you will have 90% of the cause - otherwise the [Therme]. You will have to replace the [Speicher], the [Therme] can surely be repaired.

But I would do something about it - this is just not acceptable!

To clarify: we don't have any storage, interestingly almost everyone writes something about that ;-D

Well, why the incomprehension? It is indeed annoying to have deposits in the aerators, etc., but as long as it is not harmful in any way, it costs a lot of money to just buy a new boiler; especially in combination with a bathroom renovation. But if it makes sense, I will (already) take the money in hand.

If you really want to leave it like that, can't you install a filter after the [Therme] so that the crap doesn't reach the showerhead?
