no no, that's not really how I think .... there were a few other factors that came into play.

Thanks for your answers....

One final thing... the new building will be moved further upwards, specifically 4 meters up to the boundary, and the double garage will be removed, replaced by a 4-meter-wide carport with a separate rear storage area for bicycles etc.

I will probably try to take over the old garages.

Question: the entrance of the new building is also located there... are the 4 meters even sufficient?

That’s quite possible.

The garage is L-shaped but huge inside; you could also use part of it for a small workshop, even though I’m not one yet.

The wooden ceiling would need to be renewed (at least in some places), and I would plan the driveway on the south side toward the street.

Hello again,

due to our new building, I did not get around to thinking further about the old building.

One question:

could the old house actually be clad with facing bricks? what should one pay attention to then?
