Find an expert who specializes in old building renovations and old building assessments. I only learned one thing during the demolition in 2017: what appeared to be good was no longer so great, and what was classified as bad was not so bad at all.

Solid construction year and I find it charming. I'm into old buildings anyway. I would renovate it if your parents need something anyway. You can also rent it out well after your parents because it is detached and has a pleasant size. For cost estimation... hard to say. Our house was also very run down inside, we have so far invested about 60,000 in the renovation (ceilings, floors, walls, 2 WCs, 1 bathroom, roof insulation, interior doors, sanitary, electrical, radiators (gas boiler was fine), windows, roof windows; still missing a new front door, 3 windows, exterior plaster of the basement, new basement door, 2 interior doors).

My parents need a new accommodation in max. 10-12 months ......

Renting or owning is difficult for them, for several reasons

Renting directly to strangers is hard for me, maybe to my parents sometime later.

... which we also already discussed in , and in my opinion it is at least 30 years younger than "around 1900".

Some renovations were done at some point.....I never discussed it with the owner, who inherited the house, because I wanted to tear it down anyway.

The extension was also built later....I think at the end of the 80s?

It would probably be removed so that we have more garden space.
