Addendum to the last question: No, do not install a construction dryer for only one week (or even two weeks) of delay. You can save the money for it (and the energy costs are considerable) and rather leave it at the Italian restaurant around the corner. For a delicious dinner for two, together with a "nice" bottle of wine ....

Thank you KlaRa for your reassuring words. On October 18th, the air-to-water heat pump will be put into operation and the heating program started. Now, 40 days after the screed installation, heating is started instead of 30 days as specified by the construction manager. I have not installed electric heaters. The construction dryers also emit heat. Should the construction dryers be left running until they no longer have water in the tank? They cost me 250 €/week including electricity. I have had them running for 3 weeks now and I have to empty the tanks (5 liters) three times a day. It is slowly getting really expensive. I would like to hear your opinions. Best regards

Using a dehumidifier under these conditions is nonsense! I would have let it dry anyway only by cross-ventilation. In 95% of all cases, that is completely sufficient if the climatic external conditions "are right." And in the past few weeks, they were right. The screed has probably already reached its final strength, meaning: it no longer cracks due to drafts. So: turn off the dehumidifier, open all the windows wide and ventilate intensively through cross-ventilation!! ---------------- Regards: KlaRa

The day when there is nothing in the dehumidifier containers will never come anyway, because there is always moisture in the air that they filter out, unless you build in the Gobi Desert. Karsten
