Didn't we have this recently? For example, there is the Geneo Inovent solution from Rehau.

There, ventilation is done directly through the window and not through a wall breakthrough.

I made a post two days ago that disappeared. After that, only an error message appeared.

A decentralized device in a newly built single-family house is a classic wrong decision, there is no sugarcoating that. If it still works now, then change to central. I can think of no reason to argue for it, except the investment which will be slightly lower.

Maybe the utility room is too small?

I basically agree with you, but if someone wants a chocolate hammer and asks for dark or bittersweet chocolate, it doesn’t make much sense to point out that a steel hammer or rubber hammer might be better, depending on the purpose...

It doesn't change the fact that a decentralized ventilation system is basically an emergency solution... and the intention here is to make this emergency solution even more specialized. But people forget that the air has to pass through somewhere and for that you need certain diameters or cross-sections. With windows, it has always been interesting to observe that they are supposed to be made as tight as possible, only to cut holes in them at the last step??? Somehow pointless, right?

May I ask something about this? We were told that the costs for a central ventilation system would be significantly higher than for a decentralized system. For this reason, even our KfW advisor advised us against it. Is that really so? And how much money are we talking about? We are still at the very beginning regarding the topic of ventilation, and I am currently overwhelmed by all the information and opinions... Many thanks in advance Nessarose
