Hello everyone,
we have planned a dormer with triangular windows in the bedroom on the upper floor.
Does anyone have experience with darkening such windows?
There are roller shutters that can be installed on such windows. However, depending on the design, these cost from around €3500 upwards for our size. That is, of course, a lot of money.
As an alternative, I can think of pleated blinds or curtains. Curtains are somehow not really nice. I am skeptical whether the pleated blinds can really darken completely. My partner needs it to be completely dark to sleep...
So, my question:
Does anyone here have such blackout pleated blinds and can report whether their darkening performance is comparable to that of a roller shutter?
Or does anyone have a secret tip on how we can darken the bedroom otherwise?
