if it is not your shell construction, it's okay. Otherwise, you now know that you have to be on site

That’s true. But the question was also whether you basically see any work here that is poorly done. Then we would prepare accordingly. But it could also be that you come to the assessment: "Everything’s easy, you simply have no clue ;-)" Either way: we live only 5 minutes away from our property and will definitely pay the construction site one visit or another.

Dear Christine,
Don't worry about a few stone mishaps. They will be plastered over, still hold, and aren't visible. The kitchen wall seems to have been added later. Perhaps the builder wanted this change afterwards and had it added?
And if the bricklayer does something here now, it doesn't mean it has to be the same with you. It is and remains a shell construction ;)

Hello ChrisRoth

When I was building the shell of my house, I asked a mason "with a back issue" to be on the construction site for a few hours daily. A few euros per hour did the disabled man good. He made coffee, got drinks, and gave a hand here and there. If something wasn’t quite right, he told me by phone. I could then intervene. It helped both the early retiree and me. And there was no shoddy work at my place.

That would be exactly the question - is that botch? ;-)

Counter question: would it sound too arrogant to you if I said, "where I don't see any botch, there would be none"? :)
