The fact that the window installer has never heard of it is the standard excuse but nonsense He only knows that he can't do anything against it At least that is my opinion

Thank you very much for the reply. It directly concerns the bedroom window. As soon as the sun rises, it starts. I understand that materials expand and contract. But so loud, I don't consider that normal. For this reason, we have been trying to find the cause with the installer for a year now. Screwing in, screwing out, applying silicone, etc. Unfortunately, nothing changes. After coming across forums during my research where the problem is not unknown, I hoped for some useful advice so that this madness would finally come to an end.

Seems to be really bad for you. It has also bothered me a lot, but by now I don’t even hear it anymore. I don’t want to make excuses for it, but that’s just how it is.

I’m also fed up with the window fitter who has no clue anyway and constantly wants to try something new that brought nothing.

All materials work in connection with temperature and humidity; if they work differently then there is simply a 'compensating creak' - we have that too. If windows are installed rather tightly then it is more pronounced. In old houses in the past, no one was surprised that a house sometimes makes noises.

That's true. I also completely renovated an old house, but I have to say that it would have been easy for the window installer to point out the possibility that it could happen, so I can still bring other materials into play, such as wood. Then you don't have to get upset afterwards; it's also partly true, isn't it?

It is true that materials work. But it can't be so loud that it keeps you from sleeping... You have to be able to minimize that somehow... If that is normal with this type of windows, I wonder who produces something like that and then even willingly has it installed. A prior notice would certainly have been fair as well.
