Hello everyone,
we are strongly leaning towards white wooden interior doors, so now the question: CPL or white lacquer?
According to previous research, CPL seems to be more durable and easier to maintain, especially because of children.

Furthermore, we find doors with stripes or so-called moldings quite nice (nice to have), unfortunately the range of CPL+white+molding seems quite limited or then quite expensive. What are your recommendations & opinions on the surface coating?

Paint can also be touched up, with [folie] rather not.

Hello,

From the experience of many completed construction projects, I would always recommend CPL coating if children are already born or planned. Because ...

... hits the mark.

Once the kids have grown up, the doors can be replaced – if the installed ones are no longer liked – with whichever the heart desires and no longer out of practical considerations.

Rhenish regards

Good morning,
of course, there are also some differences here. On the one hand, the interior of the doors such as honeycomb core, tube frame, tube chipboard, or solid chipboard as well as HDF, MDF, and of course solid wood.
Equally diverse is the coating: HPL, CPL foil, or paint.
CPL is somewhat thinner than HPL.
CPL coated doors have the advantage that they are lightfast and less sensitive compared to painted doors. I like to say, they are more suitable for Bobbycars.
As a middle ground, I would therefore suggest tube chipboard doors (they are not as "thin-walled" as honeycomb or frame) coated with CPL with a postforming edge. This type of edge is less sensitive on doors than sharp edges.

Best regards, Sigi

Hello Siggi,

Me too

And by far more robust as well; I also assumed hollow chipboard - maybe I should have mentioned that.

Thank you very much! We also need to slowly start ordering/choosing the doors... Apparently, some of them have delivery times of up to 8 weeks....
