Good evening everyone,
we are once again scratching our heads over a topic and I would like to have your opinion on it. It is about the following: Our staircase will be covered with tiles, both the tread and the riser. At the edges, we need/want a tile profile. We are unsure which one to choose.
The options are:
Schlüter Jolly: This is the same one we will use in the bathroom. It is the most discreet solution. Here we can either take a tone matching the tile, but we are afraid it will get scratched (aluminum structured coated). Or classic stainless steel.
Extra stair profile from Schlüter (TREP-E or similar, installed flush with the tile edge, not protruding):
+ Stair steps are better visible = lower risk of tripping
+ Protection against slipping
- Does it look too much like an office?
What would you choose? Do you have pictures of your stairs showing how you solved it?
