I didn’t say anything different... it just needs to be read carefully. By the way, I removed 1.5 tons of rubble from my 5sqm bathroom. Measured by weight, mind you. Walls were double-tiled including mortar bed, for example. And yes, plumbers like to charge 300% higher prices for sanitary equipment. MyHammer and similar platforms are those who remain free and are not busy with new construction. That’s where you can save.

I've only read the first few posts and saw something about "15k is quite reasonable"... Then I replied.

I haven't read your post and therefore couldn't have misunderstood it.

Best regards

I have been doing this with clients and for my own portfolio for over 20 years. Therefore, I have more than enough experience.

Hello,

with a bathroom this small, it is normal for the costs to still be relatively high, especially when major renovations are planned. The installation of water and drainage pipes, the redesign of the shower, sink, and toilet, as well as tiling work, significantly drive up the costs. Labor and material prices also have a strong impact in a city like Berlin.

Typical cost factors in a bathroom renovation include room size, extent of renovations, type of shower/bathtub, pipework, tiling and flooring, sanitary fixtures, and electrical installations. The effort increases significantly, especially when connections need to be moved.

You get a realistic orientation by comparing the common price ranges and influencing factors for bathroom renovations. This way, you can better assess whether the offers are within the usual range or if you should possibly consider alternatives. For small bathrooms that are extensively renovated, amounts around [12,000–15,000 Euro] are quite common – especially with high-quality materials or in urban metropolitan areas.

Conclusion: Your estimate corresponds to what can be expected with a renovation involving pipe changes and complete refitting. Those who want to save costs might consider limiting the renovations to a minimum or doing certain work themselves.

Regards

Tell me, what is this supposed to be, reviving a thread that is over 5 years old. Does this happen with you in all forums now?
