An old man maybe, a professional craftsman not. You haven't dealt with craftsmen yet, have you? And if you have, then only with ones who ripped you off.

We are talking here about the renovation of a 3.5 m² bathroom, for which you want to spend €5000 per square meter and consider that moderate? Nonsense! If you want to install luxury in your home, then do it, but don't give suggestions that are beyond good and evil.

No accusation. Otherwise, you would know what times to allow for craftsmen. At least when it comes to things like a renovation.

No, pure accusation. Otherwise, you would know that even small sums add up there. Travel, for example. And I don't know how many bathrooms you have gutted, compared to me. And those are times that can be billed.

You can also build a tiny house with 60sqm and have high costs per sqm. You set the days yourself. Please accompany a company once during the renovation.
I was there at every step after the gutting. The craftsman was hardworking and did a proper job.

At the acquaintance’s new build, the craftsman was faster. And during the tiling, it was noticed that the front wall was completely out of alignment.

Sorry, but after two complete renovations, coordinated by myself with a lot of personal effort, it remains an accusation from you. Nothing more, nothing less.

15k for such a small bathroom... plus toilet prices over 800€.

Calm down a bit.

@Te: You can probably do the gutting yourself on the weekend. Once everything is gutted and clean, you get a plumber/tiler from MyHammer. If you want, beforehand you can chase grooves with a rotary hammer for the pipes where you want them.

That's exactly how I did my small bathroom last year.
Total cost including shower partition at 150cm height, brand-name toilet with soft-close and extra coating, walk-in shower, washbasin, heating, tiler: 5k

But you should do the gutting and uncovering yourself. It's easy and only costs about 50€ for a trash bag including curbside pickup.

Sure, you can also spend 30k! Or 50k...
But you don't have to.
