Hello!
My boyfriend and I want to move into an apartment in his grandparents' house. Unfortunately, everything is quite old... We probably still have a lot to do, but we don't know what kind of costs will come our way. It is certain that the bathroom needs to be completely renovated, and we would like to move a wall to make the bathroom a bit bigger (currently only about 5-6sqm). Since the wall is load-bearing, a steel beam would have to be installed. Ideally, we would like to have both a bathtub and a shower. The flooring would definitely need to be renewed as well (preferably: parquet in the living, sleeping, and working rooms, and tiles in the hallway and kitchen), the walls, and possibly the doors. For the doors, we are considering just painting them. The apartment is about 80sqm in size. Most of the work would be done by ourselves and acquaintances. Can someone help us and give us an approximate estimate? We are completely inexperienced... :( We would appreciate it. Thank you!
