Cost of electric garage doors?

My brother-in-law pays just under €1450 gross for an ISO 45 door, including motor and installation. But as far as I could tell from my research, Hörmann and Novoferm are comparable in quality.

Only with Hörmann you apparently only get the less insulated door in white, if I remember correctly.

Exactly, but we want the better insulated door anyway, and only requested that.

The Novoferm offer did not charge the promotional price, but the regular price of just under €2,000 per door. Why? I could definitely ask again, just out of curiosity (due to the extremely bad reviews, this company would not have been an option for us anyway). The only reason could be that the size we need is not included in the promotion.
Then over €300 was charged per drive and dis-/assembly accounted for another €500 - per door -.

These promotions are usually just pure customer fooling. Some hardware stores have promotions around the clock 365 days a year and 20%. It is not cheaper, but maybe less expensive?!

The garage motor alone can cost from simple quality 150 euros up to very solid quality and functionality 4000 euros. You just have to weigh where you want to have which quality and can afford it.

But this is about a promotion from the manufacturer, not from a hardware store.
