Hey dear community,

For a long time we have been reading and informing ourselves here, and at this point we would also like to share our electrical offer, which in our opinion, after reviewing the offers here in the forum, seems somewhat too high. Especially since the electrician himself does not want to grant us any cash discount, rebate, etc. On the contrary, we were arrogantly told that they had calculated the best prices for us. We will not get cheaper offers elsewhere...

Long story short, 90€ net per socket is tough.

It is a lightweight expanded clay construction, where the socket outlets are already considered in the wall planning. Chasing will not take place here, which is why the planning is so important.

The developer themselves has only had good experiences with this electrician. We have proactively asked for another offer and are still waiting.

The construction site is in beautiful Oranienburg near Berlin.

Can you even say in general that an offer is overpriced or do electricians not differ much among themselves because other services are priced separately etc?

Kind regards
Gigiundzisis (our dog and our horse :)

there is nothing written there? (Manufacturer, type designation) A shutter switch can be made "smart" in a thousand and one ways. Not all options would meet my approval. Is there also a "transparent" offer? Are the "Datendosen 2x RJ45" each also connected twice and is the corresponding material included (cable, socket, patch panel)?

Exactly this is, among other things, a problem with the place. Only "standard" is installed, which is currently available according to the statement. They do not want to commit to any brand. We want to do the smart setup ourselves afterwards with shellys...

But it says that he already installed something with the app there. That would then be completely unnecessary.

The offer would go directly into my round file.

- too expensive if it only concerns material and no slotting work etc.
- no information about the installed quality (fancy glass switches or Kopp hardware store goods?)
- no further details (double sockets or simple ones, etc.)

The offer is not worth the paper it is printed on in terms of quality. Is there an electrical plan? I ask this because there is really rubbish in terms of content as well (e.g., a single socket in the children's room? Where do you connect the computer/laptop/monitor, the TV, the Playstation, the two floor lamps, etc.? Likewise, a whole three (3!!!) sockets in the bedroom. After both partners have connected their phones in the evening, they argue about whether a bedside lamp for reading, the cozy floor lamp, or the TV may be turned on ==> all of this can be solved with a tangle of multiple power strips, but a new building should be done nicer).

I find that pretty cheeky. Surge protection type 2 for "Internet" - 360 euros... Then 5x extra surge protection... Then a "meter space" for e-mobility?! Please what?! And a "media distributor panel" for 1.6k euros?!

That smells like blatant money-making - sorry. Find someone else!
