For me/us, the renovation of a single-family house is coming up in the near future.
I have been trying for some time to bring in ideas and see what is possible to create something more modern and open out of this rather old-fashioned architectural style.
It works very much in my favor that, apart from the roof covering, not much has actually been renovated since the year of construction in 1961.
Before I now go to an architect/structural engineer, I would actually like to know exactly what I want. Maybe some people here have a few ideas/suggestions on what can be made of this and might give me a different perspective on the floor plan.
Anforderungen der Bauherren
Style, roof shape, building type:
Roof shape and building type already specified
An open modern style is aimed for (as far as possible) (possibly also a small extension on the ground floor)
Basement, floors:
see drawings
Number of people, age:
initially only me, but hoping for a family :P
Space requirements on ground floor, upper floor:
GF: living room; kitchen; dining area; WC
UF: bathroom; office (later possibly a children's room); bedroom with dressing area
Number of overnight guests per year:
negligible; no guest room needed
Open or closed architecture:
open as much as possible; slight separation between living room and dining area/kitchen
Conservative or modern construction:
modern
Number of dining places:
4-6
Fireplace:
possibly
Music/stereo wall:
living room should allow use of a projector
Balcony, roof terrace:
not necessary; garden available
Garage, carport:
garage (more than 1 parking space will not be possible here)
Kitchen garden, greenhouse:
later possibly a greenhouse (but that has nothing to do with the floor plan)
Further wishes/special features/daily routine, also reasons why this or that should not be:
I do not like the current staircase situation at all.
Above all, I am considering whether it should be completely restructured.
Wasting as little space as possible on staircases.
Maybe someone nice will find time to give it some thought :)
