Hello everyone,

how is it with your controlled residential ventilation? At the moment we have a humidity of 30 - 32% and it is unfortunately not really comfortable. Is it the same with you?
We have a Vallox with heat recovery and there is the possibility of upgrading to an enthalpy heat exchanger. But that costs about 1000 € and I don’t know if it really brings any benefit.

At the moment I am really disappointed with the controlled residential ventilation, in winter you have dry air and in summer with the heat you don’t get fresh air into the house either.

I would like to hear your experience.

Sorry, but this topic has been discussed here a thousand times by now! Get a plate heat exchanger and that's that!

How is that to be understood?

Right, I searched once and found topics about it... so it seems that exchanging the exchanger does bring something. Regarding controlled residential ventilation and summer, it sucks in 28 degrees outside and accordingly, the inside of the house slowly warms up due to the controlled residential ventilation. The air that is introduced into the house is also not really nice.

I do not have a controlled residential ventilation system myself, but how about running the system only at night in the summer, when it is cold outside? In summer, people do not usually leave the windows wide open during the day, but rather at night.

Does your controlled residential ventilation system have a summer bypass? I don't mean to say that it solves the problem, but rather to find out if it helps. The question is whether you wouldn't have the same problem with window ventilation. Of course, you usually keep windows closed during the day when it's hot. But you could also switch off the controlled residential ventilation system above a certain temperature.

Yes, it does, but it doesn't help either because the air then goes directly into the circulation without detours, and if it is 28 degrees outside, it will also reach inside. Regarding turning off the [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung] in summer, there are different opinions. One says to keep it running, another says to run it at a reduced level. However, you should not turn it off completely. Well, as I said, at the moment I am rather disappointed with the [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung], it actually only works somewhat reasonably during the transitional periods.
