We also have a Wolf, which I do not know. At our place, it always switches on for an hour at 7 am, 11 am, 5 pm, and also for an hour at night. (No guarantee, something like that). It may be that it also runs the rest of the time, but you don’t hear it.

But aren’t these systems supposed to run continuously to ensure that moisture is removed and fresh air comes in? Otherwise, there is a risk of mold because the windows are kept closed.

No, the systems can also be operated sensor-controlled and may shut the whole thing down completely if necessary. It depends on the respective control.

But just because you have the windows closed and don't ventilate for two hours doesn't mean you immediately get mold....
