We also have a lawyer from the [Bauherren-Schutzbund] and we were satisfied. He took the time, discussed everything, and we did not pay 200 euros. We were subjectively satisfied and made some corrections to the contract with our builder. But since [Bauherren-Schutzbund] sort of mediates, it probably also depends heavily on the lawyer and the contract. One cannot say anything general.

Hello again,
our experiences relate to the Berlin area. I strongly assume that it depends on the individual persons or the federal state. We had the feeling of being processed quickly. There was a cool and quite abrupt manner. We also expressed the desire for construction-accompanying quality control. We believe that they simply don’t feel the need, keyword "construction boom." This was also communicated to us like that (too much to do...please contact another engineering office). Another representative then did not get back to us at all. So it has something to do with the individual persons/the federal state. You might be luckier there.
By the way, we are building in Brandenburg and have now put our documents for review into the hands of the Verbraucherzentrale Brandenburg. Let’s see...

Has anyone here ever had experience with the Verbraucherzentrale Hamburg? We would probably like to have our contract for work checked there.

Hello dear community, a feedback: We have now had our contract documents reviewed by the Verbraucherzentrale Brandenburg (in Potsdam). Sent by post, received feedback after 5 days, appointment one week later and detailed consultation. We could ask everything and were comprehensively and cross-topic advised. Very well invested 150€. However, our contract documents are also good and the advisor was basically satisfied except for minor details. Absolutely recommended!

I had the construction contract draft and the construction performance description reviewed by a trusted lawyer (recommended by the Homeowners' Protection Association). After 2 days, I received a 12-page letter with detailed comments. 50% of the points raised by the lawyer had already caught my attention, 30% of his remarks do not concern us, but the remaining 20% were really extremely helpful and truly valuable for my meeting with the house provider scheduled for next week. Conclusion: Well-spent 450 €.
