Hello,

we have an apartment in a multi-family house that is currently being built. Today I noticed that on a wall directly next to a door, probably when routing the electrical cables to the light switch, the brick wall has cracked. That means there is a diagonal/vertical crack, partially almost 1cm wide, going completely through the wall, so that on the side near the door there is a wedge-shaped piece of wall, about 80cm high and 20cm wide, practically hanging freely in the air.

Do I need to seriously worry about this and follow it up, or is this something that happens more often and is routinely repaired? (how?)

As a layperson, I am a bit afraid that it will just be covered up and that this wedge will eventually completely collapse.

Thank you,
Dirk

I would...

Go to the site manager and show him the damage. He will know how to fix it ;)
