The nominal width of 88.5 (= passage width 82) is still the current standard for interior doors, except for "senior-friendly planning," and the trend in height is towards 213.

Window profiles are often stock items with a maximum length of 2.40 m (due to processing machines, 6 m is rarer). Coupling means joining several elements together with connecting pieces, for example, combining a double-leaf patio door and a single-leaf into a triple-leaf unit.

50 cm overhang is tolerated in all state building regulations, more can possibly trigger distance rules, i.e. with already closely built plots the actual house becomes smaller.

82 cm should be the inner dimension, which is about 90 cm in the raw construction. That is absolutely common. A sofa can possibly also be brought in through the patio door and for upper floors usually the stairs are the limiting bottleneck and not a door.

Narrower doors do not only have disadvantages but also advantages: they are lighter (a minor point), but the great thing is that when open they don’t protrude too much into the interior space. From 50cm distance this is counted as built-up area. Less rain, it is mostly dew that doesn’t dry off in the North. A mineral plaster, for example, helps against that. Almost everything can be upgraded... the base slab must be according to the assessment, mineral plaster is recommended, doors can be upgraded, window upgrades are desirable. 20-30,000€ can accumulate quickly. That is the general tenor and main topic here in the forum: don’t trust the catalog price.

How should the external plaster be assessed then? Thank you and regards

Synthetic resin plaster has the advantage of being flexible. It does not absorb moisture, so it tends to [Algenbildung]. A fungicide can reduce [Algenbildung] in the first years.
