I do think that this causes the costs. After yesterday's email and the subsequent phone call with the company, I am relatively sure that they will start. That's why I am leaving this option out for now. The big problem is that the company doesn't really communicate enough with us. Normally no callback or when they say they will get in touch this week, no one contacts us and the next week when you call, they say: "We did not get in touch because we have not received an answer from the subcontractor yet." But we actually want to hear this explanation to be sure that someone is taking care of it. We kindly explained this to the boss in our phone call with the BU yesterday. Let’s see how it goes.

Put pressure on.

How would Karsten say it now:

You can write emails ad infinitum, the subcontractor doesn’t want to have a Facebook friendship with you. Nor kissing, because right now he has enough guys to kiss.

zizzi, at the moment there is a backlog everywhere in the construction industry. We know that too, quotes were promised, but if you don't (politely, nicely but slightly persistently) keep on it, they won't get back to you on their own. This is not specific to this company. On the contrary, if a company were currently making a special effort to get in touch, I would be suspicious. Because obviously they don't have... order books and I would wonder why...

Yes, I also hear that from others and have experienced it myself: the call does not come. You always have to inquire yourself. If anything, they get back to you at very short notice: "Tomorrow the craftsman x or y will come..."

I am currently overseeing the demolition of an old administrative building and the conversion of another one to integrate three offices, a conference room, a kitchen, and restrooms. Most of it is done, only these small, annoying leftovers remain. The floor installer forgets silicone joints, the mason still needs to plaster the garages inside, the carpenter to renew the wooden cladding. Etc. pp. Nothing earth-shattering, but the construction has been in operation since May 2nd, the old house was demolished from May 14th to 16th, and it’s dragging on like chewing gum. Even open invoices no longer work. We are currently trying to replace the mason with the garages by another one. The fact that the caretaker has to store tools, lawnmower, gasoline, etc. all over the place is no permanent solution, and it rightly annoys him. He has everything ready for four weeks now, only the mason doesn’t come.
Guys, we will always have something to build, we remember who let us down now and who carried through correctly, like our painter, he is organized, the place.

Hello Zizzi, how has it progressed with Beko Wohnungsbau for you? We also signed with Beko, construction was planned to start in January and so far nothing, maybe you can give some tips. Thanks
