I would still have it in writing, normally a word is enough for me too, but not with such amounts anymore. You just need to have someone envious on the council who’s having a bad day, then they remember: hey, there was that property with the [Bezugsklausel]... no thanks.

Have this clause in the purchase contract worded a bit differently. For example, that construction has started or something similar. Your notary will have something suitable. The bank doesn't care; it just doesn't want you to resell the property.

Thanks for your tips / opinions

I will actually call the municipality first thing tomorrow and ask what solutions are generally available. Usually, a spoken word is enough for me .. but as Müllerin already said .. in this case I definitely want to have everything documented so that I can minimize any risks ... As I said .. I’m no speculator either and don’t want to start in 5 years ... but what if a trade falls through .. or there’s bad weather .. or or or :P

We have that too. But it was more differentiated. Within 2 years start and then 3 years to completion.
By the way, I also think that's good. I want to live in a finished area soon. [emoji4]
