KFW 300 over 10 years is not worth it due to the additional costs for the KFW40 standard. At 0.6% the situation looks completely different. Just from this, the interest savings are already nearly €35,000 in 10 years.

35T€ are the total interest payments with a 20-year fixed interest period after 10 years. The ones with the 10-year fixed interest period must still be deducted here. So, in direct comparison, it is about 24T€.

yes, right, I forgot. Then there is also the saving on the bank loan with a regular interest rate for the remaining financing sum of 3,xx on top. We closed a mixed interest rate of 2% over 20 years on average two months ago. Thus, the total interest savings over the term are just under €65,000. This then covers the rough costs for the additional effort for KFW40.

Do you mean the interest savings if you possibly move into a better financing term?


Can you tell me more about your other components? What does the 20 years include? I am also facing the decision AD + KfW300 + SAB funding and am unsure about the fixed interest terms.

I mean we don’t have to borrow the €170,000 at 3.xx%. That of course saves a lot.

We got the KFW 300 through the Allianz at 0.22% for 10 years. It was a promotion by Allianz. The rest we have at 3.7% full amortization.
