I can only agree with . If you managed to pay off the 120,000 in the last 4.5 years through regular savings from your normal salaries and special payments, and there were no larger monetary gifts involved, then that corresponded to an average of 2200 per month.
If you then assume a rate of 1900 euros, the loan of 200,000 euros would be paid off after 10 years and 5 months.![]()
Our savings rate has been very high over the past years, but with 1900€ we would feel uncomfortable. Then we would rather take this route -> pay off 4 or maybe even 5% over 10 years and make the rest special repayments, but of course you have to stay on top of it :)
Unfortunately, this is no longer going to happen. Another couple was able to present the preliminary construction financing yesterday and now the property is reserved... Really a shame... We only received the preliminary construction financing from our house bank today.. Nevertheless, we continue to search and I still thank everyone who got in touch. :) I hope this time it won't take quite as long until we find another property.
