Will you have to pay for the property directly in January 2018? Maybe you can agree with the seller that you pay a deposit for the property, for example at the beginning of the development work (preferably with your own capital), and pay the remaining amount after the development is completed? This way you can also ensure that the development is carried out.

as it currently looks, we have the opportunity to buy a property in January 2018. However, it can only be built on starting January 2019. (It will still be developed by the owner beforehand, as several properties will be created there.)
We have already decided on a developer.
Since we are still quite new to the whole topic, a few questions come up.
How does it work with the interest (commitment interest?) during that time?
We would like to finance the land and house together. Is that possible even if there is a longer period in between?
We have appointments again next week with the bank and also with the developer, but maybe there are a few helpful tips here?
