Maybe not an architect; this professional group mostly likes to rely on the incoming tender documents. How fitting that the service phases encourage this attitude. A medium standard/simple architecture can definitely be quantified; at least if the "expertise" has not fallen asleep over the years. Rhineland greetings

Short answer about the fireplace. We had such a fireplace built (however, room height), certified combustion chamber from Spartherm (large panes and 12 or 13 kW output - lower output = smaller combustion chamber). Total costs including integrated niche (with glass shelves for decoration) still under €10,000 + chimney + pressure monitor.

Am I the only one stumbling over the stairs? Are the arrows correct so that you have to walk all the way to the kitchen to get from the ground floor to the upper floor? Or did I misunderstand the plan?

we visited a stove builder today to roughly outline our wishes. The following came out of it...

- Stainless steel chimney draft 3500 EUR
- Fireplace stove (masonry, visible from three sides, heat storage) 12500 EUR

I attached an example picture to the post (unlike in the picture, the stove rests on the floor and has a stainless steel pipe as chimney draft)

Can someone help me with what to watch out for when buying? How do I recognize good quality? Does anyone happen to know the stove builder (Dörfler from Neumarkt)?

Proud price - the base looks like Schmid. Although this floating plate is probably quite expensive to implement. If at all, because certainly over 400 kg rest on it...

Personally, I just find that way too expensive for a decorative fireplace.
