3. Whoever budgets very tightly must be very disciplined down to the last detail. With flooring, every €/sqm counts, and then you sit there thinking, "Wow, that looks awful, that one is so much nicer, and we want to live with it for a long time..." Before you know it, the flooring costs four figures more. And don’t think this question only comes up once.

As an adult, you should develop a certain impulse control. I also like looking at a Porsche sometimes. But that will never be an option in life, so I don’t take out a huge loan to buy one. Even if the bank might possibly finance it for me.
When building a house, you can’t assume that with a small budget you have to install the same luxury as the senior physician couple next door.
And it’s also nonsense that expensive floors look better than cheap ones. With that budget, it will be vinyl or laminate, both available in any décor and almost every décor in every price range.
