Connecting washing machine drain to an unusual pipe

Hello everyone,

the following situation (see photo), the pipe to which I want to connect my washing machine has an inner diameter of just under 60mm and goes about 2cm in until a lip. I have now found various HT pipes, but they all only correspond to DN58, so 58mm? Would one like that sit securely at all or is the 2cm lip too short? Furthermore, there is a slight draft coming from the pipe which smells extremely unpleasant, so I definitely want to use a surface-mounted odor trap which is only available in DN40.

Is there anyone here who can tell me which pipes and adapters would fit to get from this DN58? pipe to DN40? It is important to me that the odors cannot penetrate into the hose.

looks to me like an already sealing rubber gasket. DN58 should fit tightly, 2cm depth is enough. The siphon acts as a trap to prevent odors if you are worried that your machine might start to smell. But we hardly need that. I would temporarily seal it with a freezer bag stuck on or over it or something.

You need DN 50. That is the inner diameter. The outside is about 60. Then you go to DN 40, make your trap (or install a siphon) and can then connect the washing machine.

Presumably, a soundproof pipe system is installed here.

so I measured the inner diameter and it was about ~59mm, wall thickness ~4mm, but now I really wonder if that can be DN50

I don't think it's something that high-quality; the pipe should correspond to the age of the house (built in 1972).
