5 pages because of hanging a lamp?

@ Craftswoman, don’t you know anyone who knows a bit about electricity and maybe even owns a measuring device? Neighbors, colleagues, relatives, friends, a colleague’s brother-in-law, etc.

It’s not rocket science. There are 3 wires whose function you need to find out. Since a lamp was already installed here before, you can assume that the function was already given.

What I would do:

- If someone has a Duspol available: measure phase -> Perfect, 1st wire = phase already identified.
- If no Duspol available: find the appropriate wall switch and see which color is switched -> That will definitely not be the ground ;-) So phase or, if it was a bungler, then N.
- If Duspol available and FI installed: measure phase against the 2 unknown wires and trip the FI. FI trips at one wire -> Perfect, 2nd wire = ground already identified.
- If no Duspol available or no FI installed: measure each of the 2 unknown wires against something grounded with an ohmmeter (heater, water pipe, etc.). Low resistance measurement -> Perfect, 2nd wire = ground already identified.
- Then the other wire will be N.

=> Connect the lamp and turn it on. If the lamp lights up, then also check with a suitable measuring device whether the housing is potential-free. If yes -> mission accomplished.

Ohmic measurements only if the fuse has been turned off and the 5 safety rules have been observed.

Hello

please don't argue because of me. I am now having it done by someone who knows about it.
Thanks again for all the answers and the warnings.

Best regards
