Joy is somewhat dampened - ETW is 120 m as the crow flies from the highway (separated by a forested area). I still need to check the noise level during the viewing - it may hardly be audible thanks to the hill. It does not really speak in favor of the air quality... .

There are all kinds of highways. We currently live about 800 m as the crow flies from one that has a three-digit number. Those are usually not so busy, and in fact we hardly hear anything from it. 800 m from the A3 it would probably be different.

Unfortunately, it is single-digit and besides the volume, I also care about the exhaust fumes. But that is probably the reason why the price for the area is relatively "low" in comparison.

I believe that constant car noise will get on one's nerves (health). A good acquaintance just told me yesterday about the highway he always hears and that it bothers him a lot. Therefore, this would be an absolute dealbreaker for me. I also think that the perception changes with increasing age. While I used to like it not being loud and bustling enough, I don't like that anymore today, but rather prefer the quiet.
